About D. G. Hunt

David was a secondary school Chemistry and IT teacher for 36 years until he retired in 2014. In his early years he gained a BA degree from the Open University in mainly Chemistry with some IT and Maths and was pleasantly surprised when a few years into his retirement Lincoln University awarded him an honorary B.Ed. Degree.

In all that time teaching he always come back to writing from the many hundreds of worksheets for students to the first handwritten draft of ‘The Book of Erin’ in the late seventies which was then put on a shelf and gone but not forgotten as his teaching career and marriage took off.

In the nineties ideas surfaced that coalesced into ‘Frost in the Land’ but it wasn’t until retirement in 2014 that David was able to move forward.  However on retiring David thought he had a dozen chapters ready to go but quickly realised they were little more than notes! It took four more years to knock it into shape and learn something of the craft of writing.

When he is not writing he teaches T'ai Chi.  He also enjoys walking, Progressive Rock music and going to gigs.

David lives with his wife, Mererid, in North Yorkshire, UK, between York and Scarborough.
